Health/emotions: Constant heavy winds and big waves are wearing us down. It's difficult to sleep and the appetite is gone. So frustrating to spend our energy on coping with weird weather rather than on rowing towards the Caribbean.
Description of the day
Another night of strong wind and waves are crashing into the hull of the boat, so we didn't manage to sleep more than one or two hours. We are now drifting northwest. Most of the day was spent looking at the weather forecast, checking drift course and speed and discussing options. Since the biggest waves crash over the boat, we get soaked whenever we open a hatch or go outside to fix something. The best option seems to be to drift towards Madeira and hope that we can land for some much-needed maintenance and recovery.
Coalition Clean Baltic- Save the baltic porpoise
Sometimes, detecting a nylon net underwater is very difficult. The porpoise might be “looking” in another direction, for example when hunting, or the filaments are so thin that it is difficult to detect them underwater. If the porpoise accidentally gets caught in a net it will not be able to surface to breathe and will drown
Aphorism
What you seek is seeking you.
